The second online auction of 300 distinguished vehicle registration numbers, organised by Emirates Auction and the Privatisation and Investment Department in Abu Dhabi Police, generated a total of Dh10.25 million.

According to Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Auction Abdullah Al Mannaei, the auction saw strong competition from 500 bidders, including 10 Arabs, of whom six come from Gulf countries, as well as one Australian and a Briton.

Car plate number 702 was sold for Dh375,000 while number 694 went for Dh300,000.

The auction, the last online this season, was posted on the Emirates Auction web site - www.emiratesauction.ae
