An antique pearl necklace given to Egyptian music icon Umm Kulthoum by the former ruler of the United Arab Emirates is due to go up for auction in April, Christie’s said.

Umm Kulthoum, who died in 1975, received the gift from Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who served as the UAE’s president from 1971 until his death in 2004.
