RTA gets richer by Dh16.37m

Dubai: The last auction of the distinguished vehicle number plate for the year 2007 fetched Dh16.37million for the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Distinguished number G-10000 was highest bid and was sold for Dh990,000. A total of 54 plate numbers were sold in the auction held in a hotel in Dubai.
Numbers G-50000 and G-70000 got also got much attention as they were sold for Dh510,000 and Dh470,000 respectively.
The numbers 10000, 20000, 30000, 40000, 50000, 60000, 70000, 80000, and 90000 of Category G, were sold for a total of Dh12.40 million.
