Handprint of Shaikh Mohammad raises Dh80m at auction for Dubai Cares

A charity auction has been held at the Dubai International Financial Centre for the benefit of the Dubai Care Campaign , where Dh105 million was raised.

The auction was held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.

A number of pictures and paintings were auctioned, and the handprint plaque of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and his children was sold to the Dubai International Financial Centre for Dh80 million.

Other highlights of the auction included the sale of a rare picture of the first horse race that took place in Dubai, rare coins and pictures.

Members of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business leaders raised Dh250,000 for the campaign.
